Stomach Full of Faith
I Was Reading THIS ARticle Over on Barefoot Mamma’s Blog When I Was Taken Back to A Time before I had Kids , a Husband or for that matter before I even had a home .
Many a Night mt stomach lay full of faith.
I lived in the woods. I Often had to do what I had to do.My Weekly Budget Consisted of 6$ that is 24$ A Month.
I Started out in a Tarp Tent made from Discarded Tarps I found on the Side of The Road , in the woods and in dumpsters (an more than a few large plastic Banners from Sales now finished)
Most of My Budget Was Spent on Water , Toilet Paper and Candles.
I worked Hard to Barter for my food , and God did Help on those rare ocassions My Bike Needed a New Tire or a Patch Kit.
After a Days Hard work I Roll Down The Back Alley of the Drag and Dumpset Dive at Chipotle , Burger king , Taco Bell and Einsteins (A BAgel muffin Place) and I would Often Find Discarded Goods (I really do bless whoever it is at einsteins that leaves a fresh bagel , soda pop and fruit at the phone every morning ) , Sometimes though I would Find Nothing and Just go home and make a few tortillas , make some rice and reheat some beans I made in pot earlier in the week and i would pack those bare staples for my lunch . I Would Sometimes in the summer Pick Greens by Moonlight on the ride home and have salads when i got home and latter when my first gardens yeilded I knew feasts of salads and tomatos , i knew where to find Jerusalem artichoke (a Potato like vegetable) and sometimes i would find a wonderfull only mostly sprouted bag of potato’s in a dumpster and i would take them home and used whatever foil i had saved from past chipotle wrappers to bake them.
Rarely did I want , My Meals Could Be Nothing But a cup of rice a day or a hamburger or salad.
You See I worked hard , but didnt really have money all the time (Bike Tires are exspensive and when it gets stolen replacement id more than exspensive)
TP Candles and Water were essentials in my world.
But I tell You I had Faith.
and God Provided , and I never doubted He would.
One night , Having a blow out on the way back to camp , i was aware I had no food , I knew I had no water and I knew that By Time I got home pushing My Bike with me I coulsnt Scavange for any. I would have no money for bus fare to work if i bought water that night.
I looked up at the Early Moon and I Sighed and I Remebered , Its Easy to give Praise to the lord when he has provided , but to you always bless him even when its hard.
I Closed My Eye’s and I gave Praise to go , and i told him outloud. I Have Faith in you Lord.
Somewhere on This Walk Home I know You Will Provide for me.
I got to the last convenience store beforei hit the highway home , a cop car parked outside ( I tended to be edy around cops they tended to harass the homeless in that area.
I had no water bottles so i quickly dug a few soda bottles out of the trash can by the door To Fill Them in the bathroom . (The Cashier was used to me on that shift and never gave me any problems using the restroom) I went in the bathroom andI Risned those bottles out and was filling them. When I came out of the bathroom I found that the officer was waiting for me.
I was afraid wondering what I had done wrong.
But God provided , The man Offered to Buy Me Water , bought me a sandwich and Gave me a mile ride up the highway (with my bike in this trunk) where he pulled over and help me uload the gallon of water and my bike.
He told me this isnt a pplace for a woman to be and i told him. God Provides.
He Smiled and Went on hius way I waited an 30 mins to pass i ate and drank well and I headed a mile more up the road in the shadows till i got home and i praised god , for he alwyas provides.
My Stomach was filled
Filled with Faith
